TABLE TALK - "Faith in the Public Square" Continuing Around the Table

During our recent Faith in the Public Square sermon series, you were invited to vote on the topics you most wanted to explore as followers of Christ. The top two were addressed during Sunday worship in early November.

Table Talk is a new monthly gathering designed to continue that journey—creating space to explore the remaining topics together around tables, grounded in Scripture, worship, and prayer.

These evenings are not debates or lectures. They are a different way to open the Bible and worship God together—through shared meals, guided table conversations, pastoral reflection, and prayerful listening for God’s wisdom.

Our first Table Talk is Saturday, January 25.
Dinner & Fellowship – 5:30 pm
Table Talk – 6:00–7:00 pm

1/25 POLITICAL PARTIES AND CANDIDATES - What does the Bible suggest that we, as Christians, should say to the world around us about support for and voting for the different political parties and candidates in our world today?

2/22 DEI – Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity - What does the Bible suggest that we, as Christians, should say to the world around us about DEI programs, affirmative action, and social movements like Black Lives Matter?

3/22 MARRIAGE, FAMILY AND GENDER ROLES – What does the Bible suggest that we, as Christians, should say to the world around us about Marriage, Family and Gender roles (teaching boys to be masculine and girls to be feminine)?

4/26 LGBTQ+ - Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Trans-gender, Queer, and + (other titles not listed relating to gender and sexuality). What does the Bible suggest that we, as Christians, should say to the world around us about LGBTQ+ rights and transgender issues?

If you participated in the survey, this is your invitation to take the next step. If you didn’t, you are still warmly welcome at the table.

PLEASE SIGN-UP FOR DINNER AT THE LOBBY WELCOME DESK OR TEXT: 417-450-4332.  We want to have plenty of food and drink for everyone.

All Table Talks are scheduled on 4th Sunday (January - April).  Mark your calendars.
